Dear Families

Important Update for Families Using Hedingham & Chambers Buses

Please read the information from Hedingham and Chambers available on our website - here

From June 2025 their services, including school buses, will be rebranded as Konectbuses and will be blue.

From September, Suffolk County Council issued travel passes will continue to be provided to entitled students.

During the Summer term, Konectbuses will work with you to transition, where possible, your child over to have digital passes on the Konectbuses app so that they can carry their bus pass on their mobile phone.

For those fare-paying students, there will be an option to switch to 30-day subscription ticketing which will allow us to remove our existing termly passes from sale.

There were so many students dressed up last year and it was great to discuss and hear about their costume and why they love that character.

Students must be:

  • Dressed up as a main character from a book, not a film.

  • Dressed in a distinguishable costume (must not be everyday clothing)

  • If not taking part, in full school uniform

We will have assemblies from the police, theatre productions and a Trust event. Themes of the Fortnight during March are Challenging Prejudice & Discrimination and World Health Day. We also have 2 Enrichment Days before Easter and these will have a range of topics such as Communities, E-Safety, Sexual Health, Self Awareness, Health & Safety and Knife Crime.

Students will also have a chance to design a logo for the theme: &iBelong.

  • GCSE Maths Masterclasses - a full list of these can be found - here

  • GCSE Science Masterclasses - a full list of these can be found - here

Students will receive a booklet version of this information next Wednesday in a specially arranged assembly. They will also receive a copy of their examination timetable. This is an important point for students and families to make the final preparations for revision.

There is a comprehensive programme of co-curricular activities, listed in the booklet above by day and subjects.

All students are expected to plan their time to revise, and follow all usual attendance and homework expectations. As parents you can play an important role in helping, motivate, encourage and focus your child.

For a select group of students, families will receive information about which co-curricular sessions students must attend. This is to best support the students in achieving key grades which will serve them well for life.

If you have any questions about how we can best support your child please contact their tutor or Head of House.
