Dear families,

Thank you for your support during this half term.

It has been incredibly busy welcoming new students and staff; celebrating exam results; acknowledging achievements from last year; rewards trips; show auditions; charity fundraising; a plethora of House competitions, Open Evening; Academic Review day; family forums; fabulous sporting successes both in and out of school; wonderful teaching and learning which was recognised by the many visitors we have had in school this half term including the Ofsted inspectors.

We are so proud of the vast majority of our students who every day turn up and give their best and exhibit the TGS values.

Last week’s email to parents contained information about activities you can take part in over Half term, including our Big Wild Walk and how vouchers for Free School Meals students are made available.

A reminder to families of students who are approaching exams that they can access resources and support for their exam preparation and to support their wellbeing on our website.

You can read more about this term's successes in our half termly Portrait magazine which is available online.

We also have a wonderful Sixth Form student produced regular magazine called The Illustrator. It is always wonderful to read about students’ passions and experiences in their own words.

Finally, we would like to remind you about the enormous range of activities and events that are updated each week on our Careers Padlet. This is valuable for students of all ages as they consider their growing passions and develop a wide range of employability skills.

We wish you all a safe and happy half term.
