Masters Research
To support the Master’s of a local student we are inviting as many students as possible to participate in a research study investigating the relationships between video gaming and fitness components in adolescents. Participation is completely voluntary.
Participants will be required to complete some fitness testing at the school during usual school hours, and will need to fill in a questionnaire on their exercise and video gaming habits. The fitness testing will include height and weight measurements, handgrip strength, jump height, coordination, reaction time, flexibility, and balance tests. These tests are simple, easy, and not strenuous at all. If you and your child consent for them to partake in this study, please follow the link below for all details about the study and informed consent forms to sign.

In a nationwide survey of nearly 14,000 students a study from the market research company Cybl reported that 57% of students look to their parents for advice on further and higher education options over teachers and careers advisors, up from 39% in 2023, therefore it is more important than ever that parents are well informed as to their young person’s choices and pathways.
