This post would suit candidates interested in a child related career such as teaching or sports coaching. Experience of working with young people in the 11 - 16 age range would be an advantage but is not essential. You will have GCSE grade C or equivalent in mathematics and English and a degree level qualification.
The intern responsibilities will be to broker community links with existing community sport. This is in order to enrich the curricular and extra-curricular activity and visibility within the school of opportunities so that students can see easy, attractive and timely examples of how to take their enjoyment and participation in sporting activity to life outside school.
The School will provide an induction and provide training to increase your knowledge of the school context in order to provide focus and capacity in further development of student sports leadership/officiating and realising effective links with community sports providers (bringing them in/extending links out)
