Dear Families
This week we held our Academic Review Day and it was a real pleasure to meet so many students and parents throughout the day. These conversations with tutors are such an important part of school life, allowing us to reflect together on each student’s academic progress, approach to learning and how we can all work together to ensure every child is successful. It was wonderful to see how thoughtfully students discussed their strengths and identified areas they can continue to develop. Thank you to all parents and carers for taking the time to attend and for your continued support — it really does make a difference.
As we move further into the term, I’d like to take a moment to emphasise the importance of good attendance. Every day in school counts, and there is a clear link between attendance and achievement. National data shows that students who attend 95% or more of school are far more likely to achieve their academic potential, while those whose attendance falls below 90% typically find it harder to keep up with their learning.
Thank you for your continued support in ensuring your child is in school, on time, and ready to learn each day. Together, we can make sure every student fulfils their potential.
