Zoe Daley was a student of TGS Sixth Form between 2012-2014. She has now gone on to great success in the Textiles industry. Here's what she has to say about her time at TGS and her journey beyond...
Throughout my time at TGS, the art room was always such a haven! Being encouraged to approach all our work in an experimental way really allowed me to develop as a designer from an early age and I will always remember and treasure my time in the Art department.
I originally studied Architecture at the University of Sheffield but I eventually realised it wasn't buildings I wanted to design, it was textiles! I graduated in 2020 from Central Saint Martins with a First Class Honours in Textile Design specialising in knit.
My graduate collection was shortlisted for the LVMH and Maison/0 Green Trail Award for sustainable practice as well as the Arts Thread Global Design Graduate Show in partnership with Gucci and iD magazine. During my degree, I have exhibited original woven works at the Tate Modern and at the first Sudbury Silk Festival. Alongside the constant development of my modular knitwear practice, I currently have work in a London showroom with some pieces soon to be printed in British Vogue.
