Winter is here and we are gearing up for the Christmas Holidays! Please would you share this information with the appropriate families that you work with.  These are all free sessions are aimed at those pupils receiving means tested free school meals.

  • Family Park Cooking                     - A great family day out including campfires, hot chocolate, marshmallows and cooking a hearty lunch. Each family will receive ingredients for the whole family Christmas Dinner and Boxing Day Lunch.
  • Adventure Days                            - Action Packed Adventure Day including a breakfast, lunch and snacks.
  • Swimming and Lunch                   - Free swimming and a lunch for families.
  • Soft Play and Lunch                       - Free Soft Play and a lunch for families (Kingfisher only)
  • Food and Activity Boxes               - Food boxes including Christmas Dinner and Boxing Day Lunch plus an activity pack.
  • Duke of Edinburgh Award           - A fully funded Bronze award programme including camping, away days and more!

Adventure Days (8.30am – 4.30pm to help working parents – breakfast lunch and snacks provided)

  • A full day of indoor and outdoor adventures (8:30am-4:30pm)
  • Activities include team games, fire-lighting, axe throwing, archery, swimming and loads more!
  • Breakfast and Lunch included

SEND support – On these days we provide an extra instructor increasing our ratio from 1:10 to 1:5 to provide a little extra support to those that need it.
Children will still be expected to be independent and manage their own behaviour and interactions with other children as set out in our behavioural policy.

Family Park Cooking Days (Children aged 5-16 years with their parents/carers) (Younger siblings can attend)

  • A full day out for the family (10am-2pm)
  • Take part in a cooking master class
  • Take home all the ingredients for a Christmas Dinner and Boxing Day Lunch
  • All locations have indoor or covered areas

Free Swim / Soft Play and Lunch (ages 5+)

Abbeycroft is offering free swim and lunch to eligible children from 5-16 years old. (Younger siblings can attend)

Tickets are available for children and parents.

Please note Kingfisher Leisure Centre is offering Soft Play and Lunch instead of swimming

Christmas Food and Activity Pack Boxes

Abbeycroft is offering 620 Family Food boxes across Suffolk. These are for families that are unable to attend a Family Park Cooking session.

Each family will receive all the ingredients for a Christmas Dinner and Boxing Day lunch as well as a family activity pack.

We expect families receiving food boxes to book into other HAF provision to make the most of the free activities and opportunities available this Christmas.

Duke of Edinburgh Awards

FREE Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme

We are now accepting young people onto our 2024/2025 programme.

  • All costs of the award are covered and all food and equipment is provided.
  • This programme is completely free for any young people eligible for free school meals as part of Suffolk County Council HAF programme.
  • This is open to any young people in Year 9, 10 or 11 living in Suffolk or attending school in Suffolk.
