A busy week next week with a particular focus on the build up to GCSE exams and Year 9 options evenings. Please ensure that you contact us if you have any concerns or require additional support.

Year 11 Mock English Literature Exam Tuesday 11 March

Just a reminder that Year 11 will be sitting their final mock exam for English on Tuesday morning. 

Year 11 MFL Speaking assessments

Throughout the week students will be having their individual assessments. Each student has been informed of the date and time of theirs.

Year 11 Biology Paper 2 mock exam

This will take place on Thursday March 13th.

Suffolk County Council - opt-in for SCC funded school travel

If your child is eligible for SCC funded school travel, you will need to opt-in by 31 May 2025 to receive travel for the start of the 2025/2026 school year.

If your child already receives SCC funded school travel, you still need to opt-in every year.

If your child is starting secondary school in September 2025 and they are eligible for SCC funded 

school travel, you will be contacted by 3 April 2025. You will need to opt-in if you would like your child to use this service.

Year 9 Spring Dates for Options Choices

Dear families of students in Year 9. This week in assembly we shared with students the timings for this term's consideration of option subject choices for Year 10. Our process has changed very little from last year, so you will find useful information at www.tgschool.net/KS4-options.

We will contact you before each event with more details, but you may wish to keep the following dates, which we shared at the start of year, available:

Year 9 progress checks give you an indication of which subjects students are doing particularly well in, and approaching most positively. The assembly also gave students the challenge to use this term well to consider carefully which subjects may best support their future ambitions and current strengths. For this process tutors are your best point of contact for any questions.

Year 9 Out to Work Day Monday 7th April 

If you have not yet told us what your young person will be doing on that day could you please complete this Google Form as soon as possible . If they cannot accompany you or a trusted adult on that day please let us know on the form, they will be expected in school as usual where they will be completing some fun virtual work experience of their choice. Next week’s trips and visits

Year 13 students are off to Barcelona - to complete their challenge of organising a visit to another country, there and back, in twenty four hours.

Year 8 students are on a STEM science trip to the Emmanuel Centre in London.
