This is a valuable opportunity for students to be supported in their revision. Students do not need to wear uniform. The small gate near the main reception will be open, and students walk round the building to enter by the piano entrance. Students sign in on arrival and sign out when they leave. If they are staying for a morning and afternoon session they are able to sign out and leave the site to purchase food, and then return for 1pm.

Service Pupil Premium

Service pupils are also included in a category where additional support can be considered.  Service children are those students  with a parent(s) or carer(s) serving in the armed forces. If you feel your child should be registered as a ‘service child’ for our awareness and support, please do contact us at the school on enquiries@tgschool.net and a member of school staff will be in contact with you if you meet the eligibility criteria of;

  • one or more parents is serving in the regular armed forces, including pupils with a parent who is on full commitment as part of the full-time reserve service - this includes pupils with a parent who is in the armed forces of another nation and is stationed in England

  • the student has been recorded as a ‘Service child’ in any school census in the past 6 years (at a previous school before joining TGS)

  • a parent died while serving in the armed forces and the pupil receives a pension under the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme or the War Pensions Scheme
