We have been offering specific training for girls who are keen to get involved with playing, supporting, coaching and mentoring girls' football for the past two years and am now ready to start recruitment for the next group.
As many girls as want to can sign up, ideally, I'm looking for 12. I have to complete some online training before I can deliver, although I already have most of the materials from the past years.
** You do not need to play football to get involved **
The FA understands that girls often lack confidence to take on leadership roles as they progress through school. However, we also know that girls enjoy taking part in sessions designed for them, by them.
Barclays Game On - GO Lead offers girls the opportunity to lead through the power of football. This programme promotes 3 key outcomes:
- Empower girls to design, create, officiate and deliver football activities to their peers and local primary schools to engage new girls.
- Support girls to become activators - to understand what leadership is, the barriers girls face and to articulate and apply new skills within a variety of roles both on and off the pitch.

Provide girls with diverse training experiences, useful resources and activator kit to support them on their journey.
