For students in Year 10, 11 12 and 13, mock examinations are an important part of the preparation and build up to the final examinations that will take place in May and June next year; they provide opportunities for students to experience the range of subjects that they are studying in a short space of time and they provide valuable assessment information to teachers, Heads of House and form tutors that will enable effective and targeted intervention to take place in the light of the results. Finally, they give students the opportunity to build on and extend revision that they completed for Year 10 or Year 12 examinations that will aid their final preparation in the new year.
As per the school parent calendar and as part of our regular cycle of assessment and reporting, we hold exams for students in all years.
Timetables for each individual period of exams will be issued at the start of each season and available linked to this page.
As has been the case in recent years, Year 7,8 & 9 exams for the core subjects of English, Maths and Science will take place in the Sports Hall. This will help familiarise students with the formal environment that they will experience increasingly frequently as they progress through the school towards their public exams at the end of year 11.
You can find more resources to support students wellbeing and revision on these linked pages.
