The Third Annual Quiz Night in memory of Will Leonard

On Tuesday 12th November 2024 students, staff members, and families attended our third Quiz night in memory of past student Will Leonard.

It was great to see such an amazing turn out, the hall was full of competitive teams, all determined to avoid the wooden spoon title.   

Hosted by the very confident Matt Fairbairn, (there may well be a career in television in his future) attendees were treated to quiz questions covering a vast array of subjects, a competitive round of the 'longest lasting plank', 'rock, paper, scissors' challenges and the always popular karaoke!  Some staff members were even brave enough to submit a childhood photo for a 'guess the teacher' round which was very popular.

It was a great night enjoyed by all.

Will Leonard, a student from TGS sadly died in August 2022, after battling brain cancer. The evening raised £148.19 and all proceeds will go towards the charity 'Fighting Ependymoma' to support other young people like Will and the costly research in to childhood ependymoma brain cancer.

Congratulations to our Sixth Form Head Students and further volunteers for organising such an amazing night!
