Thanks to some collaborative work with Suffolk Libraries and an environmental grant, 5 Year 7 students along with 7 sixth form students worked hard on Wednesday this week to transform the garden outside the front of the library. Thank you to Mr Smith for arranging, Miss Byham for assisting and Mrs Barfield for guidance.
The students got some tips about gardening and planting and working outside with nature was great for their wellbeing as well as the staffs'!
The area has really brightened up the space. We hope everyone enjoys it. We are waiting for some boarding to go round the edges, some more covering for the path and some more plants. We have set lots of wild flowers across the garden so from June it will be flooded with colour.
We are also hoping to celebrate the opening of the garden in June/July with a plaque naming the Garden- The Hardy Garden.
