The 3rd Sudbury Scout Group are looking for volunteers to help run their group - they have asked TGS to pass on the following information;
Dear Supporter
I hope you are keeping safe and well.
We have been Scouting in Sudbury since 1912, and over this time we have helped hundreds of local young people enjoy adventure, whilst developing the skills they need to succeed. We do this by creating a fun environment in which they can take responsibility for themselves, as well as learning essential team working skills in a “learning by doing” environment.
All this good work can only take place because we have a band of willing volunteers, who give up their time to help with the Sections, which start with Beavers and progress through Cubs, Scouts, Sea Scouts and the Explorers.
We need more volunteers to keep this thriving organisation going. The more help we have, the more we can achieve, and the more the young people in our community will prosper.
My reason for writing to you, is enquire whether you can help identify potential volunteers.
We are looking for all sorts of help from Section Assistants through to members of the Executive Committee. So, whether you have a couple of hours a week to help, or a couple hours a month, we can really use your help.
Please feel free to contact me either by phone or email using the contact details below.
If you are not able to identify someone who can help, I would welcome any feedback on other people or organisations who may be appropriate for me to approach.
Thank you for taking the time to think how you could help.
Yours sincerely
