Dear families,
As the vast majority of Year 11 students complete their exams today. We again want to take the opportunity to acknowledge how fantastic they have been. We are extremely proud of them as I am sure you are. We look forward to seeing them and you at Graduation and Prom.
Year 13 students still have A Level exams to complete, although many have finished. They have been positive and resilient in their approach.
Year 10 exams have started and Year 12 Completion exams are about to start.
We have also enjoyed a fantastic week of celebration assemblies led by students and Heads of House celebrating a wide range of successes from the last half term.
Y11s with exams left
For Y11 students with exams still to sit, they can arrive either at the start of the day as usual, or 15 minutes before their exam. If they arrive during the school day then they should come through the main entrance and then sign in at the attendance office. They will still be in usual school uniform and can leave school after the exam. If it is a morning exam then they need to sign out again at the attendance office before leaving.
On Monday morning there will be two sessions to help students prepare for their Statistics exam. The first session will be at 9:15 in 109 with Mrs Wade, and the second session will be with Mr Ryall at 11:05 in 108.
Unwanted, good condition uniform, PE Kits and revision resources or scientific calculators
Could we also make another plea for any unwanted uniform, PE kit, shoes, trainers, coats, and revision resources. All will be gratefully received via our main reception.
All Families - Healthy Living Resources
The Children’s Healthy Weight Strategy has been launched and resources and information are now available on Children's Healthy Weight - Everybody's Business - Healthy Suffolk
Plus for children who would like 1-1 support we now have a Suffolk Healthy Living Service, A service to support children and young people overcome the barriers to achieve a healthy weight. The service supports families with children aged 0 – 19 who are overweight (on the 91st to the 97.9th BMI centile) further information including referral forms https://www.suffolk.gov.uk/children-families-and-learning/childrens-health/healthy-living-service
Everyone - Vaping and Smoking Survey
Following on from growing concern about youth vaping, a survey has been developed by Suffolk County Council to better understand the prevalence, key drivers and support required.
There are three short surveys:
-
Pupil survey 9-18 years (Should take 5-10 minutes to complete.)
-
Teacher/Support staff survey staff for 9-18 year olds (Should take less than five minutes to complete.)
-
Parent or carer of a 9-18 year old (Should take less than 2 minutes to complete.)
The pupil survey can be completed at home so a trusted adult is on hand to support with the process of completing the survey. The results from this survey will allow them to develop resources ready for the new school year in September.

Suffolk Libraries
We are incredibly fortunate that our students and families have access to a public library here on site. It is available to students throughout the day, and at weekends. Suffolk Libraries have shared some new resources to let people know how libraries can help:
- What happens in the library? Please help us to pass the message on! - News - Suffolk Libraries
- Moving Minds - Help, Support, Advice & Resources - Suffolk Libraries
Borrowing sports and exercise equipment for free will also be launching on Monday 17th of June!
Have a great weekend, and especially to those of you with young adults who have now finished their exams, have a great celebration and well earned rest.
