It was a pleasure to see so many of you attend our Academic Review Day on Monday and thank you for filling in our questionnaire. We look at every one of them. There were a number which did not have names on and so we are unable to contact you regarding any concerns.
There were a couple of themes that came up from your feedback. How we communicate so I have attached the link to our information on the different ways we communicate with families.

A small number of families queried how they can know what their child is learning. This is all on our website under LEARNING and then SUBJECTS.

As well as our communications to families via progress, Go4Schools and telephone calls home we also run face to face events, in addition to Academic Review Day and Family Forums. You are also always welcome to contact us if you have any questions about your child’s progress, contact details for all staff are available at www.tgschool.net/staff.
Our first Subject Teacher Evening of the year is for families of students in Year 13. This is a face to face event where you can speak to teachers of each subject. Please keep time available on Tuesday 22 October. Full details and the link to book appointments will be with you on Monday and bookings open at 6:30 pm on Monday.
Second Hand Uniform
Sudbury Salvation Army are having more of the Uniform Swap Shop sessions in half term - these will be on Thursday 31st October & Friday 1st November at the Salvation Army Hall in Station Road from 9:30 - 12.00.

Guest Speaker: Paul Hannaford
We have Paul Hannaford visiting our school on Tuesday 15th October to give an assembly style presentation to years 10, 11, 12 and 13. Paul talks about the dangers of addiction, drugs and alcohol as well as involvement in gangs, knife crime and county lines. Through his own experiences as a former addict of over 20 years, he can convey an incredibly powerful and hard-hitting message. He currently travels extensively throughout the UK, visiting primary and secondary schools, youth centres, and young offenders.

October Half Term Activities across Babergh & Mid Suffolk

Bikeability Trust - Online Survey
Suffolk County Council have asked us to share this survey with our students & their families. It is to help establish a link between doing Bikeability and cycling which often helps with improved mental health.
