All students from Year 9 to 13 are given free access to a careers platform called Morrisby at which helps them explore careers, subjects for higher education and Apprenticeships. The system can also inform parents all about the careers activities they have taken part in at school.

If you would like to access your young person’s account, they can grant you permission at the bottom of the home page once they have logged into the system. Please encourage them to read about the jobs they are best suited to before requesting work experience in Year 10. Any questions please contact Mrs Osborne on

Our regular careers bulletin has been updated again this week. It is packed full of opportunities for students to take part in. If your child does not yet know what they want to do in the future these activities are an excellent way of exploring ideas.

LAMDA: London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art lessons available

We are very excited to offer students the opportunity to take part in LAMDA lessons at Thomas Gainsborough School.

LAMDA is one of the UK’s oldest and most respected London Drama Schools and awarding bodies. LAMDA has been offering practical exams in communication and performance subjects for over 130 years. A LAMDA exam is the speech and drama equivalent of a music grade. Like music grades, LAMDA exams go up in levels and culminate at Grade 8 (Gold Medal). These qualifications are Ofqual recognised and have helped hundreds of thousands of candidates of all ages and abilities develop lifelong skills.

You can found out more about these lessons at
