0n 3 April, at 11am Ofqual released this latest information, inlcuding a letter to parents which is under the resources section.
We will do everything as staff and leaders to ensure that students' achievements will be recognised fairly and in good time for students' next steps in September. We are waiting to receive further information from exam boards on the exact requirements and timings for the process.
Ofqual, who oversee UK qualifications, have not yet released details on how vocational qualifications will be awarded. This is their latest statement on vocational qualifications.
As more information becomes available we will email all parents and students.
As well as these important qualifications we will continue with plans for a Year Book, Hoodies and, at a suitable time, a Graduation.
Personalised and comprehensive support for Y13 students progressing to University is available from the Sixth Form Team, by emailing Dr Talbot, firstname.lastname@example.org
For students in Y11 & Y13 seeking college places, apprenticeships or employment our full range of support remains available from the Careers Team led by Mrs Osborne, email@example.com
For students in Y11 who are considering A Levels at a different provider we recommend that they contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we can provide further advice.
For students in Y11 who have already had an interview for Thomas Gainsborough Sxith Form please be reassured that we will honour that offer and greatly look forward to welcoming you with well over 100 other students in September. To support your start to Sixth Form studies we are currently planning resources to help keep your academic skills well honed.
There is no requirement for students to continue completing year 11 work and teachers will not be setting you any further work relating to Year 11 qualifications. After the Easter break we will contact you again to inform all students who are planning to join the Thomas Gainsborough Sixth Form about a planned programme of support to prepare them for their Sixth Form studies in September. If you have any concerns please contact the Sixth Form team email@example.com
